Front-End Software Engineer – Job ID: FES4

CodeLathe (an Austin, TX, USA based company), is looking for a passionate front-end software engineer to develop and expand our FileCloud product line. As a front end software engineer, you will be primarily responsible for development of cross browser web application functionality. This is a 100% remote position and will require working remotely with other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Create elegant web user interfaces and layouts
  • Own the user experience
  • Integrate the front-end with databases, file systems, cloud services via HTTP APIs when delivering solutions
  • Troubleshoot and fix reported customer issues, delivering software patches as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or in related discipline with 4 or more years of professional software engineering experience
  • 3+ years experience in front-end web app development is required
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, Vue.js, CSS and HTML is required
  • Strong knowledge of Web Technologies including HTTP protocol, XML, JSON, REST is required
  • Experience using Google Web Toolkit (GWT) and Java is a plus
  • Experience using Electron is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of client server architecture is required
  • Knowledge of Bootstrap framework is a plus
  • Self starter, highly motivated and works with little or no supervision

Technical Support and Sales Engineer – Job ID: TSE2

CodeLathe, (an Austin, TX, USA based company) is looking for a passionate remote technical support/sales engineer to provide technical support and sales demos for our customer base around the world. This is a remote-job position and will require working remotely with other team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer technical questions about software installation, deployment and usage scenarios
  • Perform product/sales demo to customers
  • Assist customers with installation and configuration of CodeLathe software
  • Work directly with customers to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues with CodeLathe’s software
  • Assist Engineering teams by escalating, reproducing customer issues until a solution is reached
  • Add and improve technical documentation
Required Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Engineering or Sales degree with 3 or more years of professional technical support experience is required
  • Ability to work in USA and Europe time zones
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS Administration and Troubleshooting including Active Directory is required

Product Manager – Job ID: PDM1- Location:Austin

CodeLathe, (an Austin, TX, USA based company) is looking for a passionate remote Product Manager to drive existing and new products for our customer base around the world. We are looking for candidates from Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
  • Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members

Technical Writer/ Copy Writer – Job ID: MKT4

CodeLathe (an Austin, TX, USA based company), is looking for an experienced technical writer who can communicate complex technical content clearly, concisely and accurately. As a technical writer, you are responsible for creating content for Business decision-makers, IT administrators, and end-users. You will collaborate with engineers, marketers, designers and occasionally with customers to deliver high-quality content. You will create technical and instructional manuals, produce release notes, and review marketing whitepapers, web pages, and communications. You will lead all the technical writing projects for FileCloud (www.getfilecloud.com). You will collaborate with engineers, marketers, designers and occasionally with customers to deliver high-quality content. You will be expected to learn the industry and be a product expert, who understands both the high-level concepts and feature level details.  

Responsibilities:

  • Lead content creation projects across the company
  • Interview product teams and research topics to write whitepapers
  • Create technical and instructional manuals, produce release notes
  • Improve technical illustrations by collaborating with technical and design teams
  • Copywrite/edit  website feature pages to simplify the content for target audience
  • Write technical documentation – end users guides, administrator guides, blog posts, FAQs and reference documents
  • Create presentations for partners and customers explaining product features
  • Plan and write content for web publishing, emails, and product messaging
  • Turn product requirements into a clear and engaging story for customers (across all touch points including UI labels, emails, and online copy)
  • Ensure content has a consistent style, tone, and approach, by creating a style guide
  Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional writing experience and writing web and mobile content, preferably for interactive user experiences (Experience in an Enterprise Software Company is a big plus)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, or Communications
  • Proficient in writing concise/technical documents and design illustrations
  • Maintain and evolve content standards, including voice and tone
  • At ease managing multiple projects, setting stakeholder expectations, working individually and collaborating across teams
