You can seed Team Folder data in the following ways:

  • Open a browser and log in to the Admin Portal
  • Open a browser and log in to the User Portal
  • Open a Sync Client 
  • Open a Drive Client

(lightbulb)  For a large number of files and folders, we recommend seeding the data through Sync Client.

How do you want to seed and organize the Team Folder data?

 

 Open a browser and log in to the Admin Portal


To access Team Folders through the Admin Portal:

  1. Open a browser and log in to the Admin Portal.
  2. Ensure the account that is used to log in has permissions to access Team Folders.
  3. The master admin account will have automatic access to team folders.
  4. To set team folder access to additional admin accounts click here.
  5. On the Admin Dashboard, from the left navigation panel, click Team Folders.
  6. To add folders, click the Add Folder button.
  7. Use the Upload File button to upload files to team folders.
 Sync Client (Recommended)

Seeding Team Folder data with FileCloud Sync Client is both simple and quick. In short, the following steps must be followed to seed data using Sync Client

  1. Files and folders that must go under team folders must be stored in your LAN infrastructure.
  2. Download and install FileCloud Sync Client.
  3. Login to Sync Client using the Team Folder account credentials created during the Team Folder Account Setup
  4. Browse into My Files folder.
  5. Copy the files and folders from your LAN infrastructure into My Files.

Once the sync is complete, you can login to admin interface and go to team folders to share team folders and set up permissions.

 Drive Client

Team folder data can be seeded using the Drive Client. The following steps must be followed to seed data using Drive Client.

  1. Files and folders that must go under team folders must be stored in your LAN infrastructure.
  2. Download and install FileCloud Drive Client.
  3. Login to Drive Client using the Team Folder account credentials created during the Team Folder Account Setup
  4. Browse into My Files folder.
  5. Copy the files and folders from your LAN infrastructure into My Files.

Once the files and folders are copied, you can login to admin interface and go to team folders to share team folders and set up permissions.

 Open a browser and log in to the User Portal

FileCloud web user interface at http://yourfileclouddomain/core can be used to seed and organize team folder data. Following steps must be followed to set up team folder data using Web User Interface.

  1. Using web browser, Go to FileCloud web user interface at http://yourfileclouddomain/core
  2. Login using the Team Folder account credentials created during the Team Folder account set up.
  3. Browse to My Files
  4. Add Files and Folders under my files to organize the team folders.
