  • FileCloud supports searching the entire FileCloud system for files and folder with the Federated Search feature. 
  • The search may be a regular file or folder name search
  • For full content search, configure content search

To search the entire FileCloud Server site,

  1. system level search for files/folders, login into admin UI and click on the "Federated Search" option.

In this screen, type the search term on the search box on the top right corner and press enter. This will search entire FileCloud system for file/folder names matching the entered criteria. It may fetch content based matches (if configured), if found. The drop down in the search box will have some advanced search parameters that can be used by admin to narrow the search.

  • Search results might contain matches from both managed storage and network folders.
  • Search results can be downloaded.
  • Search results can be previewed if applicable.
  • Search results cannot be copied, moved or deleted.

To search the entire FileCloud Server site,

  1. Open a browser and log in to the Admin Portal.
  2. From the left navigation panel, under Misc., select Federated Search.
  3. On the search screen, in the search box, type the search term and press enter. 
  4. After searching the entire FileCloud system for matching files and folders, Search Results are displayed. 
  5. To narrow the search, use the drop down selections in the search box for advanced search parameters.
