Software Engineer (C, C++) – Job ID: SEC4

CodeLathe (an Austin, TX USA based company), is seeking a passionate, career and customer oriented C/C++ developer to join our fast moving, agile development team. This is a 100% remote position and will require working remotely with other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Develop multi-platform desktop client server applications (for example: FileCloud Drive and FileCloud Sync)
  • Develop expertise in File System operations and working under constraints of size, bandwidth, and latency
  • Prioritize work to reduce technical debt and create a coherent and powerful design.
  • Write stable, robust C++ applications and libraries for a variety of OS platforms.
  • Audit and code review peers for potential flaws and security concerns.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or in related discipline with 4 or more years of professional software engineering experience
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in C++ development
  • Experience in C/C++ libraries such as boost and POCO
  • Strong knowledge of Web Technologies including HTTP protocol, XML, REST is required
  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns etc is required
  • Strong knowledge of client server architecture is required
  • Experience in WxWidgets or Qt is nice to have
  • Experience with FUSE file system is nice to have
  • Self starter, highly motivated and works with little or no supervision
  • Passionate in software development, takes ownership and pride in their job

Full Stack Software Engineer – Job ID: FSE4

CodeLathe (an Austin, TX, USA based company), is looking for passionate full stack software engineers to develop and expand our FileCloud product line. As a software engineer, you will be primarily responsible for development of server-side functionality as well as building scalable cloud based services. This is a 100% remote position and will require working remotely with other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Create elegant, efficient and maintainable software to support and extend our current software products
  • Solve complex architectural challenges when implementing new features
  • Integrate with databases, file systems, cloud services when delivering solutions
  • Troubleshoot and fix reported customer issues, delivering software patches as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or in related discipline with 4 or more years of professional software engineering experience, at least 3 years experience in web app development
  • Strong knowledge of web technologies including HTTP protocol, XML, REST is required
  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented programming, design patterns etc is required
  • Strong knowledge of client server architecture is required
  • 3+ years in PHP development is required
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases like MongoDB and their declarative query languages is a plus

CodeLathe, (an Austin, TX, USA based company) is looking for a passionate remote technical support/sales engineer to provide technical support and sales demos for our customer base around the world. This is a remote-job position and will require working remotely with other team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer technical questions about software installation, deployment and usage scenarios
  • Perform product/sales demo to customers
  • Assist customers with installation and configuration of CodeLathe software
  • Work directly with customers to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues with CodeLathe’s software
  • Assist Engineering teams by escalating, reproducing customer issues until a solution is reached
  • Add and improve technical documentation
Required Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Engineering degree with 3 or more years of professional technical support experience is required
  • Ability to work in USA and Europe time zones
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS Administration and Troubleshooting including Active Directory is required
  • Strong Experience with Linux Administration and Troubleshooting is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self starter, highly motivated and works with little or no supervision
